Dear All,
I had a problem while running simpleFoam (I use the OF version 2.0.1). I was modifying the airfoil directory from tutorials/incompressible/simpleFoam and ran it with two different values of deltaT (e.g. 1 and 0.1). And it looks like the solver doesn't really takes into account the value of the current time step! The solutions for deltaT=1 and deltaT=0.01 are the same for the first, second, ... time step but as the value of time is different, the two solutions are "scaled" in relation to each other. I tried the original airfoil directory but obtained the same effect, as well as for some other tutorial cases (if using simpleFoam). For icoFoam there is no such effect... Can anybody explain it, maybe I don't understand something? Is it really a bug? Thank you! |

simplefoam is a steady solver, so the time is not taken into account. you can just consider it as iteration number.
