Hello everyone,
Greetings! Currently, I am struggling in generating a dynamic mesh using SnappyHexMesh. Geometry consists of the following three parts: 1. Reactor: cylindrical, dia: 30 cm height 80 cm 2. Blade: 4 wing blade, dia 10 cm with a blade twisted at an angle 3. AMI As the geometry is to scale to the experiment that was designed by the department. when the meshing finishes, I get a lot of unwanted cells in one of the directions. From the outside outside.JPG it looks fine and also when snapped in the X direction Xplane_snap.JPG. But when I snap it in Y direction I see unwanted cells which are some how linked to the AMI Yplane_snap.jpg. Please see the snappyhexmeshdict attached as well snappyHexMeshDict.txt Could anyone explain what can be done to clean the mesh? Things that have already been tried: 1. refining and coarsing of mesh 2. turning off Decompose polyhedra in paraview. Thank you in advance any help would be appreciated. Kind regards Ab |

You need to use the crinkle option on clips and slices to avoid this representation. Good news: your mesh is fine, its just visuals.
