i have a quesstion about vortex in channel
in a channel with a block and vortex generator
Can vortices on one side cause vortices on the other side??? This happens when a vortex passes over the block.
What is the cause of this phenomenon, is there any book or article about this???

A vortex generator is installed at the bottom of the channel, which creates a vortex with its movement, and the vortex passes over the block and other vortices are formed above the channel. I mean upper vortices

No, I don't have a similar solution for it, these vortices are not the main topic of my work, but I would like to know why they arise

Even for the simple backward facing step flow you see separation regions on the top wall at a certain Re number.
