I have a simple problem of flow in a 2-D rectangular channel and I have the velocity profile at the outlet. However, my grid is coarse and has 20 nodes and I get values at the nodes just before and after the centreline. Is there a way to find the values at centreline? Some kind of interpolation which is used?

Within Fluent, you can create a point probe at the center and create a report/monitor of any statistic (max, min, or average) of the point. Fluent will interpolate values to the point and the statistic will be degenerate because it is single valued and therefore reports the value at the point.
Of course you can always do the interpolation yourself externally or in CFD post. |
