Hello everyone
I'm trying to setup the boundary condition on heat wall but my experiment data use Naphthalence sublimation on wall to heat. I just know the mass sublimation for heat wall is approximately 20mg. I don't know how to transfer or calculate Heat flux/Temperature from it. Does anyone have a suggestion or formulation for calculating this? Thanks a lot. |

I encourage you to read any paper on naphthalene sublimation for heat transfer. If you need one not behind a paywall, here's one.
Presumably, if you scanned the test article, you would have measured the depth of the missing naphthalene. And from knowing how long the test article was exposed, you (using the density of naphthalene) could calculate the mass flux during the experiment. |
