Hi guys,
I am looking for a recommendation in Ansys fluent for creating a (Report Definitions) surface plane in a fluid domain without including the pipe thickness (solid domain), as in the picture. (the first plane is the inlet that just includes the fluid domain. In contrast, the second plane includes both fluid and solid domains. In other words, how can I create a surface plane that just represents the fluid domain in any section of the pipe? Your help is highly appreciated. pipe.jpg |

You can use the function Iso-surface in the tab Setting up domain go to Surface > Create. Within the window select the interior of the fluid cell zone and use the correct direction in the variable list Mesh > x_coordinate (or y or z), define the coordinate.
This should do the job. Cheers, Lucas |
