Hi everyone!
I need to calculate momentum thickness (theta) and Reynolds number based on it (Re_theta) for a turbulent flow over a flat plate to capture the turbulent boundary layer. How to find the stream-wise location for a given Re_theta?? I do it as shown in attachment 1. After getting the required location, how do we calculate the actual momentum thickness? I do it as shown in attachment 2. Am I doing it right? Problem details: LES of turbulent flow over a Flat plate Flow is parallel to the plate Re (based on length of the plate) = 1 million Ma=0.3 Domain: shown in attachment named domain. The plate starts at x=0 Flow is in positive x direction. If further details are needed, please do tell me... Cheers!! |
