Hi everyone !

I am new to CFD online and I hope this is the right Forum to ask a questions regarding concepts and cfd codes.
I have written a working Fortran code for Laminar Unsteady Flow over flat plate for incompressible fluid using method of Pseudo-Compressibility. I am solving Full NS equations.

Now I want to covert the same to solve for oscillating flat plate of infinite length (Stokes second problem) using full NS equations. I have a simple square domain, with plate as bottom wall. I am having trouble figuring it out what should be the boundary condition for u, v and p at right and left wall ? I was looking to use periodic boundary conditions, but was wondering if that would make my problem ill-posed. Also if I use periodic boundary condition, what would be my pressure boundary conditions on left and right wall ?

Any help would be appreciated !! Hope this interest anyone.

Thanks

Periodic BCs are possible, the simulated flow is a time-evolving not a spatially evolving BL.

An oscillating pressure can be set as forcing term in the momentum equation
