hey, dear respected CFD forum participant, how are you doing? i am fine.
i need favor please, my question, i want to study CFD with matlab coding, then where do i find reading and practicing document (i.e books: especially FVM and FDM, websites). thanks |

I suggest to divide-and-conquer.
I would start with the heat equation or wave equation and get up-to-speed on FDM and FVM. That is, try to execute the 2D heat equation in FDM via Crank-Nicoson or something similar. If you just google FVM/FDM, you'll likely run into the heat/wave equation as examples anyway. Any modern text in heat transfer or pde's likely contains one or more chapters devoted to FDM. Heat equation is nice because it's diffusive and solutions are quite stable. And it's only 1 equation to solve, as opposed to the coupled continuity-momentum that you have to deal with in Navier-Stokes. That is, learn to solve 1 pde before you try to solve a coupled system of pde's. |

CFD can be studied from several texbooks, they do not require a specific language. A more specific textbook that uses Matlab is https://ch.mathworks.com/academia/bo...-dynamics.html |

another popular and well studied case is the Rayleigh-Bénard-Convection or the lid driven cavity. Both of them are well known and simple cases.
We have programmed a FDM solver in C++ during CFD course at university. So it shouldn't be too hard to find some information on it For example: https://de.mathworks.com/matlabcentr...ard-convection https://de.mathworks.com/matlabcentr...en-cavity-flow |

@LuckyTran, Deranda, FMDenaro. thank you for your kindnes, you are real good people. Totally to handle CFD coding in matlab, i thought it is better to start by studing matlab coding of PDE, then once i'm familiar to the software, then i should go to CFD coding with simple concept like 1D elliptic or parabolic PDE problems. And now just i'm studying the primary PDEs.
my next question is written as follows: I do have other question, non linear (Bifurcation concept ): is it possible execute and seeing the result including simulation in ANSYS fluent or CFX? how do i simulate in software? which software is preferable? what will be the input? (i.e. when i see books, they are suggest to use matlab) |

hey friends, how are you doing? if you don't mind, i need your help. i am studying flow over an aircraft wing to (improve) increase the lift at high angle of attack by delaying boundary layer separation on the method of suction on the wing upper surface and near to 3/4 chord, then i need to simulate the flow analysis by using ANSYS fluent, and what are the procedures and the step?

you should ask for the workflow in the specific ansys forum.
