Hi!
I would like to present Hexalab.net a new free online tool for inspecting hex meshes HexaLab is a WebGL application for real time visualization, exploration and assessment of hexahedral meshes that runs directly in your web browser. This visualization tool targets both users and scholars who employ hexmeshes for Finite Element Analysis, can readily check mesh quality and assess its usability for simulations. You can use HexaLab to perform a detailed analysis of the mesh structure, isolating weak points and generate high quality images. To this end, we support a wide variety of visualization and volume inspection tools. The system also offers immediate access to a repository containing all the publicly available meshes produced with the most recent techniques for hex mesh generation. The system supports hexahedral models in the popular .mesh and .vtk ASCII formats. Many visualization techinques are available like for example, interactive peeling from the external boundaries: Or Minecraft-like interactive digging and undigging of individual cells Or you can progressively hide good shaped cells to reveal only the bad ones, using a variety of quality measures (all the well known Verdict ones): Irregular structures are also automatically detected and visualized with a variety of rendering styles: Finally cells can be rendered with rounded edges and accurate global lighting for creating high quality images: For more info, look at the companion paper: "HexaLab.net: an online viewer for hexahedral meshes" Matteo Bracci, Marco Tarini, Nico Pietroni, Marco Livesu, Paolo Cignoni (Freely available on arxiv) |

Just a short privacy note: HexaLab do NOT transmit any 3D data
Even if it is a web based application, all the processing and visualization is done locally, inside your browser, your meshes never leave your machine, so it is safe to use it even for classified, restricted private projects. |
