Hello !

Are there approaches to model the roughness effects in the RANS equations for wall corrections other than the usual equivalent sand grain roughness ?

I understand it is the most used approach , but i would like to explore others in RANS LES or DNS ( In DNS how the meshing is done ,instead of wall corrections) . Will be thankful if I can atleast get some papers or links to look at

Cheers,
Arun

There are interesting papers exploring DNS in some ways:

Thank you very much , I will look into them. Do you have any papers that account roughness without using equivalent sand grain roughness please?

No I never used such model but I suggest to have a look into journals like PoF and JFM.
