Hi, in large eddy simulation , the large scale eddies are resolved and the small ones ( i think their name is SGS) are modelled, my question is what are the turbulence models applied to model those small scales, and who choose them, in fluent for example is there an option tonchoose the model or it is automaticaly taken by the simulation softwares.

I suggest to read the book of Sagaut, you can find the description of all SGS models.
I have written a brief introduction to LES modelling that can introduce to the task. You can find (Part II describes the models) here: https://www.researchgate.net/publica..._Part_I_and_II Last edited by FMDenaro; July 10, 2017 at 12:59. |
