Dear all,

do you know any, currently developed, open source 1D code? I am thinking about something like Flowmaster, GT-POWER or WAVE, but not necessarily linked to a specific domain.

I could only found OPENWAM:

http://www.cmt.upv.es/OpenWam.aspx

and I don't know if other exists.

Also, do you know if there is an agreed upon "grid" format for such codes?

Thanks

Actually, I was referring to more specific frameworks geared toward applications (like the examples mentioned) and not to generic methods to solve 1d hyperbolic problems. I am interested both in specific models (say, for the friction in a network pipe) and the general simulation management/workflow, including the expected input/output for such softwares.

Some time ago, I searched on the web for 1D models and discovered few academic codes, an example is from the Houston University
http://www2.egr.uh.edu/~aleon3/Codes.html

I don't know if that can be useful, I think that some code resemblig Flowmaster is somewhere in the web ...
sbaffini and aerosayan like this.

Hi guys,

I have my own 1D code, but it's for shallow water equations, and is written in Matlab. Hope this helps.
