Hi everyone,
Please, can you advise me which CFD software is the best to solve the evaporation-condensation problem, please?
I have tried ANSYS-fluent, but it seems inappropriate tool for this kind of problems.
I used multiphase model>VOF and patched the liquid zone but still show all phases mixed together
I need to see how much water condensate on the cold cover and discharged due to the cover slope and gravity
help me, please

i want to know is euler multiphase vof model is good for solar still....and how to define vapor and air mixture in fluent bcoz i want to define one water and another phase as vapor and air mixture but i am not able to find mixture in fluent i got only way of spices transport for mixture but if i use it multiphase then it turn off wall function for heat source so plz help on it.

I am not sure I think you have to use patch and adapt for liquid region
for me I used VOF and Eulurian both not work with me
maybe some setting is wrong

Hi Guys,
This is my first post on the forum
I have a problem in modelling solar still. I am using VOF model with energy equation on, k epsilon RNG for flow and DTRM for radiation. My mesh elements look fine (avg element quality .85) but my solution is not converging at all. I initially wanted to go for transient simulation but then have decided to go for steady state due to the time constraint. Please help me with some solution that i can try .
