I work in the HPC sector optimizing code for HPC platforms and although I've worked (and currently work) with CFD codes, I do not have the basic knowledge to fully understand CFD. My background is in E&E Engineering and I was wondering how could I learn CFD from very beginning with code examples so I can focus my HPC expertise on CFD applications, specially on the Numerical Weather Prediction sector. My interest is still pure HPC but applied to Numerical Weather Prediction and other CFD codes.
Thank you all for your help and advice. Mike |

Start here.
http://lorenabarba.com/blog/cfd-pyth...navier-stokes/ That will teach you the fundamentals of CFD using python. It doesn't necessarily make for the most efficient solver, but it will help you learn the details. |
