Hi, everyone:
Is there any compact finite difference scheme for 1-dimensional nonuniform grid? I hope it is easy to follow. Thanks. |

The paper by Gamet et. al ,COMPACT FINITE DIFFERENCE SCHEMES ON NON-UNIFORM MESHES. APPLICATION TO DIRECT NUMERICAL SIMULATIONS OF COMPRESSIBLE FLOWS International Journal for Numerical Methods in Fluids (1999) discusses the derivation of fourth-order compact scheme on non-uniform grids which is equivalent to the sixth-order scheme of Lele on uniform grids.

You can use coordinate transformations. See papers by Visbal et al where they use high order compact schemes in 3D for nonuniform grids.
