Dear all,

I am learning CFD and facing some issues concerning the boundary conditions. So far as I understood the boundary conditions can be implemented via two ways:

1) "Ghost" Cells, which are cells added to the BC and that can be used without much change with the discretization scheme used on the interior cells

2) Set the value at the face of the boundary cell and determine different coefficients for the general equation at the Boundary Cells.

Am I right? In case so, where can I find more information about the "ghost" cells for Finite Volume Methods?

check versteeg book, it has a chapter on boundary conditions. It is not about ghost cells but it will get the job done.

Often, the two mentioned approaches are exactly the same in terms of accuracy and stability, the difference being only in the code implementation
