Dear all
this is an urgent situation. Please let me know you ideas. I am running a developing turbulnet pipe flow with the lenght of L=20D which D is the diameter. The inflow bc is taken form a periodic pipe (L=7.5) and feed in the developing pipe every time step. I just found out that the flow is repeating in developig flow. Do you know why? Thanks. |

what you see seems just produced by the periodic inflow velocity ... it seems that the inflow condition repeats periodically at a frequency such that you see vortical structures repeating....

Thank you very much for your kind reply. I think this simulation makes sense. We just feed in the fully developed flow and it repeats itself in developing pipe. I need to do some artificial perturbation in the inflow the break this periodicity. Now another question pop up. What should be this perturbation? Do you have any idea? |
