Dear all,
I am conducting the 3D model of mixing two immiscible liquids in Kenics static mixer. Two flows of palm oil (100% oil) and methanol solution (100% methanol) will be injected at the inlet zone with the specific velocities. I would like to evaluate the fraction of methanol at the outlet boundary (desired volume fraction of methanol is about 0.5). I'm wondring some issues as follow: - Which multiphase model should I apply for this case? (VOF or mixture or Euler) - I have set the outlet boundary as pressure outlet of 0 Pa (gauge) and the blacflow volume fraction of methanol (2nd phase) = 0.5. Is it ok? - What kind of parameter should I use to evaluate how well mixing? (I'm using the volume fraction of each phase as the eveluated parameters) Thanks in advance! (Sorry about my English) Regards, Long Nguyen |
