Hey,
Does anybody know how to simulate and analyze the airflow pattern around a wind turbine using Ansys or any other simulation software for that matter ? I'm looking for a 3D model !

Have a look at tutorial number 14: Using sliding meshes.

Apart from that: http://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/Ansys...ible_answer.3F

Hello Alex,
I'm new to this forum and hence not quite familiar with the rules to be followed. I'll surely try to improve and be as specific as possible with my future posts. In response to your reply, where can I find the tutorial that you mentioned ?

Regards
Night Hawk Raven

It can be found within the fluent documentation (check the help button) or downloaded at the Ansys customer portal.
Typing the words "fluent using sliding meshes" into a search engine like google will also bring up some older pdf documents of this tutorial.
The number may be lower than 14, but the content is the same.

You will even find threads dealing with this type of flow if you use the search function of the forum.
