Hi All
I am looking for undergraduate research topic in CFD,which involves working with fortran. My final intention is to get a publication.I have a time-frame of six months give and take. I won't be working with a mentor or something.(I know it sounds strange) Can you guide me what options i have, and how should i approach it. Many thanks regards Bharat |

Hello Bharat,
I'm pretty sure your goals are set too high. 6 months as an undergrad with noh supervisor sounds like an ideal time to do some research and explore on your own, but a publication? Maybe in a non-referred journal, or a conference proceeding, if that's what you are aiming at, but a full journal is too ambitious - or you a very talented and very lucky. Don't fixate on the publication, pick a topic that sounds interesting to you and see what comes out of it! Publications for undergrads are really not important! Cheers! |

Hi cfdnewbie
Many thanks for the reply, yeah i know i have set my goals high because of need of the hour. But dont you think if i end up doing some good work,it can be published too.(just saying it.) And it would be great if you can suggest some topics(in which current research is going on) that can be looked upon. Thanks again regards |
