Hi every one.
I am looking for an software or code for shape optimization. I want to optimize an airfoil in transonic regime in order to postpone the shock. Does anyone know the name of such software or code? thanks |

ANSYS Fluent has an Adjoint solver in versions 14 and up. It's used exactly for this purpose (shape optimization).

Thank you Scipy.
don't you know any open source code or software for optimization using adjoint method? |

Unfortunately, no. You could try asking in the OpenFOAM subsection of the forum. I'm not well versed in Linux, so I haven't yet attempted anything regarding OpenFOAM.
