For my graduate project I thought about changing my laptop, I know that a desktop is best for this purpose should be a laptop because I move much, either college or home (for study in another city). The main use will have the laptop is to work in ANSYS FLUENT / CFX primarily reactions, oil and gas industry, heat exchangers. I'm done with these two laptops to choose from:

MSI CX61 2PF
  • Intel Core i7 4712MQ
  • HDD 1TB
  • 8GB RAM 1600MHz (I'll change for 16gb)
  • GPU: NVIDIA GT840m
  • Price: 780USD

MSI GE60 2QD APACHE
  • Intel Core i7 4720HQ
  • HDD 1TB
  • 4GB RAM (I'll change for 16gb)
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 950M
  • Price: 1000USD

These are my options to choose from, prices are more expensive because I'm from Colombia, could help to choose ?.

If they know another laptop that has a good price it would like to recommend it.

the MSI GE60 2QD APACHE is the best option between those two. It has a faster processor and a much better graphics card. It's definitely worth the extra price.
HyperNova and Felodj like this.
