Dear every one,
I want to create my own mixture gas, let's say co and air, there are 2 options: 1. either choose species transport model (this is easy), solving mass fraction equation 2, deselect the option above, create my own mixture gas, solving my own UDS equation with UDF(coz i have own way of defining normalized mass fraction), but here is the thing, I cannot create mixture gas, when i go to define/materials, there are no mixture species, only co and air, how to make them mixted 3. if i use this example. and I still cannot see mixture as a material type if I don;t choose "species transport model" elect material database define/materials/data-base/database-type ;Available Types: (fluent-database user-defined) ;Database Type [fluent-database] user-defined ;Database File [""] mixturegas.scm any suggestions?? Thanks a lot! Last edited by solefire; September 22, 2010 at 04:41. |

actually the clue is still using "species transport model" method, but I want to have my own mass fraction definition, which is kind of mass fraction normalization, and hereby sum(Yi) is not equal to 1 any more, that is why!

Go to material, create-edit, choose fluid on material type, select and copy co and air from fluent data base, then in the create-edit materials panel select mixture as type and choose mixture-template as FLUENT mixture materials, change its name if you want, and then go to species (in the same panel), clic on edit and there you can choose the species that will be on your mixture.
Hope this helps regards |
