Hi All,
Through fluent windows interface, I can readily record a GUI journal. How can convert this journal to TUI journal that required in a batch simulation in linux?
I would appreciate your suggestions.
Best regards,
Harry

-mAx- will become famous soon enough
you can create a journal file from Fluent:
before setting your case, go to file/write/start journal...
Then set up your case, once you are finished, go to file/write/stop journal...
Fluent should write everything you did in a journal file, which you can now read...
hope it helps

I can only use TUI model in linux. So a GUI journal is not working.

BUMP!

I'm having the same problem. I need to generate some results pretty quick. I've only 2 cases to run, but they're too big for my local computer so I have to use a Linux HPC cluster in Batch mode.

Creating a GUI journal file is easy - File>Write>Start Journal......."set boundary conditons etc etc"....File>Write>Stop Journal

Does anyone know how to turn this GUI journal file into one which can be used in the TUI?

check the cx commands and try to translate manually to native TUI commands

If I set FLUENT up and Initialise the solution using the GUI, then save the case and data. Can I then, in my journal file, just read in the case and data and solve? Do I need to set materials and boundary conditions, add materials etc using the TUI?
