Hello,
I am running a 3ddp case, meshed using GAMBIT and then exported to FLUENT. The number of cells of my grid is 2160000. Its giving me the following error [b:60a77ba75e][color=blue:60a77ba75e]Warning: ST_Malloc: out of memory.malloc_storage: unable to malloc Z Velocity Gradient, size 92651040, t 2, myid 1000000. Note exact events leading to error. 2. Save case/data under new name. 3. Exit program and restart to continue. 4. Report error to your distributor. Error Object: ()[/color:60a77ba75e][/b:60a77ba75e] ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ My system is a Windows XP 32 bits with 4 GB of RAM, although the Memory Status application of Fluent says that I have got 2004012 KB of physical memory plus 2047724 KB of page memory. Anyone who have some idea please help me. Many thanks, Ivan. |

hi,
anything over 1 million cells requires a fluent parallel solver. check if your PC has multiple processors, and then issue the command fluent 3ddp -tx where x is the number of processors you have. various things change when you run fluent in parallel so i recommend you consult the manual. otherwise, ule need to get your hands on a cluster! akour
