Hi there
Can anyone tell me how to create a video from fluent. I am running on 2ddp Unsteady State. I read the documentation from Fluent website on how to create a animation sequence and followed that. It created a .cxa file and numerous HMF files. Then I write a MPEG video from those files as told by Fluent Documentation. But all I get is a blank video. A video that plays for 2 mins but displays nothing. When I opened .cxa file in notepad and checked for any errors with HMF files but everything was perfect with those files. I asked fluent to write PPM files as well as METAFILE for Contours and saved them in 2 different folders. Both the files(PPM and METAFILE) gives a blank video. Can someone help me with this case. Thanks Krishna |

I think u have ur model show grid option open.
Try go view grid and change to grid display with outline only. then do the video again.

Video from Fluent isn't very friendly
What I always did is to generate picture each time step, and then generate video from all the pictures. you can use solve/execute... and then TUI commands for setting and exporting pictures. http://www.fluent.com/about/news/new...00v9i2/a23.htm

for this subject , you visit the (menu toolbar) : solve-animate-define and define that you need about. then iterate , and then click play back. by(ahomira6991@gmail.com) |

Before running the unsteady simulations, go to Calculation Activities > Solution Animations > give required info and set the window > calculate > graphics animation > solution animation playback > write
