Hello.

I would like to make an external magnetic field data for MHD module in FLUENT 6.3. The exprimental data is like as below. I have read the FLUENT manual, and tried to make the external magnetic field data many times. But I failed. The magnetic field only is applied along y direction (thickness). X direction is width, and z direction is length.

Please help me how I can make .txt file of external magnetic field data.

Thanks in advance

HEy, i have a problem with magnetic fields on Fluent. i want to be able to alterate the trayectories of ferromagnetic particules ina liquid flow by using a magnetic field, so i can trap them to one side parallel to the flow.
Any advice?

Hi,

just if anybody would have an interest, I enclose an example of imported file for extenal magnetic field. It works, just do not forget initialize fluent and MHD module before you apply external field. By initialization UDS are set to zero.

Hi everyone
I have a 2D (XY) plane and I want to import a magnetic field data in the z-direction (B=B0+bx).
B is a magnetic field in the z-direction, B0 and b are constant values and x is x component direction. I mean, B in z-direction varies with x component linearly.

Please help me how I can make .txt file of external magnetic field data.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards,
