What is the easiest or most common method of determing the thrust and torque for a 3D propeller (my first CFD 3D experience). This was modelled using a rotating reference frame and periodic boundaries.
Thanks in advance, Alex. |

Report->Forces
That will output both the raw force and the coefficient. If you're working with coefficients, make sure you've set your reference values in Report->Reference Values. Hope this helps, and good luck, Jason |

http://web.mit.edu/16.unified/www/FA...es/node86.html Seems it's just the disc area described by the propeller. I know that's the case for helicopter rotors...
