Hi all, I'd like to simulate in-cylinder phenomena with fluent6.2. every thing ok except valve lift profile.
It does not clear in the user gide for how to set th valve lift profile. Can I define the profile easily or I need to make a UDF funtion for valve. Please suggest, TorN |

Hi You need follow the following steps; 1) Model porous zone at the valve 2) Inertial and viscous coefficients need to be modeled through UDF 3) the udf will take care the Flow resistace i.e. high resist = valve close; Low resistance when valve is open.
