In the Eulerian Granular Model, how the packing limit of the solid phase is enforced? I mean, when the solid phase volume fraction equals or becomes greater than the packing limit, how does is it managed in order to respect the physical limit of packing?
Thanks in advance, ap |

Sorry i cannot answer your question, but i am wondering if you could help me to understand better how to fix the value of this packing limit.
There a page in the documentation dedicated to this, explaining how to calculate the packing limit for a binary mixture ... well got to say i dont understand. If i have a unique size of particle with a known diamter, how do I fix the packing limit? Is there a prefered or commonly admit value ? Thanks in advance. |

In the Eulerian Granular Model, the packing limit is specified in the Phase panel.
For spherical particles it is 0.63 (fluent default value), but in the literature you also find works done with a maximum packing limit of 0.6 (like in Boemer and Van Wachem works). Regards, ap |
