Hi ,
I have a 2D temperature distribution in the domain and I want to display temperature gradient profile (filled coutour) ... any body can tell me how can I get this distribution as a contours in all the domain .., and how to specefy the component of the gradient vector dT/dx ,dT/dy.... thanks in advance friends... frederik |

You can have access to the temperature gradients if you activate the "expert" menu. This is how to activate it. In the TUI ("/solve/set"), type "expert" and say "y" (yes) to the propmt saying "Keep temporary solver memory from being freed?". Do one solver iteration, and you will find temperature gradients in the drop-down list in the Contours/Derivatives panel.

Dear helper thanks a lot for your answer ...
but what I want to obtain is countour of temperature gradient for a transient simulation after at t= 2.5 s.. should I use "solve/set/expert and run the iteration for only one time step ,?? regards frederik |
