Two phase flow in porous media

Hi,
I am a new user in Fluent. I have both water and air flowing through porous media. The flow rate of water (laminar) and the viscous resistance coefficients for the flow of water in the porous media are known. Air flows into the porous media by natural circulation (hence, its velocity is not known). But the viscous resistance coefficients for its flow through the porous media are known. The porosity of the porous media is known. I want to see the flow profiles of both water and air inside the porous media. How should I proceed?Should I use Mutltiphase models? If so, what model? As far as I have seen, these models ask for too many details like diameter of the secondary phase, drag coefficients, lift force, momentum exchange coefficients etc, which are not known in my case. Can I solve my problem by Fluent? Kindly help, Madhavi. |
