Im currently trying to model a 2D VAWT to look into wake effects however after 2 weeks I am struggling to make progress as a result of what i believe to be an interface issue i cant figure out how to resolve. My fluid (fixed region) of the and my rotating (turbine) region doesnt allow for the airflow to pass through. Does anyone please have any ideas on how to resolve this, i will post images of my geometry and mesh aswell as fluent settings with the boundary issue i have.
If you need more images or questions please let me know Thanks!! Screenshot help1.jpg help2.jpg help3.jpg |

hello joeluka2,
so I've seen your pictures and in my opinion, there is an interface problem so look at your picture 2 which is in a mesh environment on the left side you can see a connection right? so when you click on it(in your case), it won't show you any connection so based on my experience you can define connection here by right click and there should be an option that you can define the connection. and you can choose which parts are connected(in my case my geometries parts are always connected and I think because my auto-generated connection is enabled in my case it worked but some references don't recommend this option be careful and make sure you check) see in the fluent under the mesh interface there is nothing either you can define your interface here just you have to right click create manually the fluent tutorials are very helpful you may go through them. I also shared a link that can help you create interfaces. https://events.prace-ri.eu/event/156...iding_Mesh.pdf with regards Z |
