Hye all;
As per attached was my graph validation for plain journal bearing by using engine oil (SAE20W40), Yellow graph is my data which i run by using CFD ANSYS FLUENT whilst the red graph is an experiment data. As the validation part, I need to validate the simulation data with the experiment data. Any idea on which parameter that i need to adjust (either FLUENT part or journal bearing part) so at least I get similar or at least error less than 10%. Or the graph already ok. Need suggestion from an expert here.Thanks again |

Hello,
I am not Journal Bearing Expert. So consider my ideas as options in simulation point of view. You can try with refined mesh. Also temperature dependent properties might help to improve the accuracy.

Hi Zuraidah
May I ask you, how did you find the equilibrium position of the journal? Did you use any UDF? Thank you |
