Hi all,

I am doing a reacting flow with fluent. While iterating, fluent will complain a warning: dasac failure at temperature continuing. However, iteration can continue without error.

I am wondering why would this happen? will this effect final calculated results?

Best regards

Weiqiang

From my experience with the error, here are my thoughts:
1. Try making the mesh courser, I read somewhere that the easiest way to fix the error is to fix your mesh (avoid unnecessary refinement),
2. If fixing the mesh is not an option, look into the turbulence models, usually a model that allows near-wall treatment options to be used can do the trick,
3. My go-to option personally is to shy away from mass flow inlet boundary specifications but rather perform necessary calculations so they become velocity inlets.

I hope this helps someone.
