Hello,
While working on my current project, I have come across model constants with k-omega SST. I am wondering where I can find an explanation on these constants and also if someone can provide an explanation of when they would need to be altered. Thank you. |

Hi Bran,
The best place to learn about turbulence models is often the original papers. https://www.cfd-online.com/Wiki/SST_k-omega_model Have a read of the article then check out the papers referenced at the end. There is typically a section on how the constants were selected and what their effect is. |

It's good for your own learning what the constants are for.
But if you have to ask, then don't change the constants. Unless you are in the business of creating turbulence models, don't touch them. Are you a turbulence modeler or just a CFD user? If you're a user and not a modeler, leave it alone. |
