hello
I used fluent to study natural convection in cavity. In boundary condition, when considered shell conduction, what is the boundary conditions in that case at the outside of the walls? Best regard |

Yes the boundary condition is applied on the exterior.

thanks for your answer LuckyTran.
But I want to know when shell conuction is enabled, how it treats the condition in the other part (the second side), or we can set this condition. thank you |

Let's say you have a fixed temperature boundary condition. I represent surfaces with |
Normally when you have a wall BC you have fluid| and you apply the boundary condition to this |. When you use shell conduction you have fluid|shells|, this bold | is where the thermal boundary condition is applied. So you would apply the fixed BC to this | and not the |. It should be apparent that the BC is not applied at | because then there would be no point in using shell conduction. |
