Hello Everyone,

I looking for a bit of assistance with plotting the DPM particle results from a cyclone analysis. I'm looking to plot the data in several histograms, with the particle size(X), the number of particles(Y) and the status of the particle, ie. escaped, trapped, incomplete in the title?

I'm opening to doing this on CFD-Post as well. Though it seems fluents has the functionality and may be the better option?

Thank you for your help ahead of time.

You can actually compute histograms on "sampling surfaces" such as those corresponding to your boundaries. However this will take in to account only the particles that pass through these surfaces. Alternatively, I think you can still use DPM macros in a UDF in order to write all the information you would require from each parcel to a file. However, this could be somehow expensive in terms of computational costs depending on the number of particle you track and their DPM time step size.
