https://www.sharcnet.ca/Software/Ans...0013.18.2.html says "The statistics that ANSYS Fluent collects at each sampling interval can be postprocessed by selecting Unsteady Statistics... [including] shear stresses (Resolved UV/UW/VW Reynolds Stress), flow heat fluxes (Resolved UT/VT/WT Heat Flux), and species statistics (RMSE Mass Fraction of species and Mean Mass Fraction of species)."
What is Resolved UT heat flux? Time-averaged u'T' or time-averaged uT? Where can I read of this material with the relevant formulas and vocabulary in a textbook? Thank you in advance. |

It's the time-averaged u'T'. You won't find these definitions in any book because they are Fluent specific. You can however, find the general concepts of UT heat flux in any book on turbulent convective heat transfer.

Thanks for this information, LuckyTran. The Fluent theory guide does not seem to have this information.
