multiphase flow

Tonoy Mondol is on a distinguished road
I am going to simulate solar still using nanofluid. upper a glass surface and constant temp. lower is a wood surface of constant temp.VOF model is used.now my question is: what is the phase interaction I will provide? water to vapor and vapor to water or only the first? and also is there any option to put latent heat of vaporization in ANSYS? and if I add nanoparticle with water then is it possible to do with VOF? or mixture model is necessary?

Hi,

To use VOF you need to have 2 or more immiscible fluids. Check out the link below:

Hi.

Also , you need the implementation of phase change in VOF model.

There are a lot of papers & references for this purpose.

the problem consists of water initially at the bottom.which is provided with a patch. after time has gone the water produces vapor through natural convection.
