Hello everyone,

I have been trying to run a DOE with Fluent solution in ANSYS 18.2 to generate a response surface and eventually perform optimization.

I began with 6 parameters running a central composite design scheme which generated 45 design points. The DOE would run and generate outputs for 2 design points and would then fail with the generic error message of "(DP 1) Failed in handling Fluent message" which would prevent the DOE from running further.

I then lowered the number of parameters to 5 which generated 27 design points and still had the same issue (error message) running on the default options.

I then used the Remote Solve Manager and the Pre-RSM option to generate the geometries and meshes before running the solution to see if either of those were the issue. Only one design point failed in the meshing stage. However, each solution failed to update giving these two errors:

(DP 3) Remote: Update of the Solution component in Fluid Flow (Fluent) for Design Point 3 failed: Update of the Solution component failed
(DP 3) Remote: error writing compressed file
