Hello Everyone

I am a student working on modelling of biomass pyrolysis and I have no idea how to do it because I am new to Fluent. The scope of the proyect is to know the temperature distribution in the gasifier walls and the syngas composition. If anyone can help me with my problems I will appreciate it very much. My dubts are:

Geometry:

1. How do I create my geometry? I do not know if I have to create a solid for the biomass and other fluid part for the rest of the gasifier or I have to do it all like a solid or fluid and then specify which is fluid and which is solid. How do I introduce the biomass? In Geometry step or in Set Up?

Set Up:

2. Pyrolysis reactions are in Ansys Fluent or I have to model it with Matlab. If so, how do I insert this Matlab reactions?

Regardind second question will be glad if anyone can attach UDF for the pyrolysis process or send it to adrian-th@hotmail.com.

Thanks in advance

Adrian

I have the same questions.
How to model pyrolysis reactions on CFD-fluent using dpm model.
Do I need to develop UDF for kinetics?
