Hello,
on Fluent, a friend of mine, setting properties of a gas found that unit for reference state entropy is J/kgmol*K.
That's not clear to me.
J/kgmol*K=J/(g*K) or J/(kmol*K) or J/(kg*K)? Or what?

I found an old post here about that

It says simply that kgmol=kmol and so J/kgmol*K=J/(kmol*K). Is it correct?

Thanks

1 kg mol is indeed 1 kmol (or 1 gmol is 1 mol).

Chemists like to think that the molecular weight must always be expressed in gm/mol which gives rise to the need to defined different moles when a different unit of mass is used.

Ok,
so, to be more clear, also to future learners, the correct interpretation in SI units is

J/kgmol*K= J/(kmol*K)

Thanks
