Hi all,
I have a problem to be solved including a material is heated by glass having higher temperature than others. I would like to see how to change contact surfaces in the material, having 3d. How could I see deformations in surfaces of interest by giving thermal expansion in solid material? Kind Regards, |

Solid deformation is not handled natively in Fluent. If you are only looking at thermal stress there are workarounds (because thermal stresses are proportional to the temperature gradient) but the real solution is to use Ansys Mechanical or some other tool that handles solid stress.

Well, obtained solid deformation in 3D (that is a mould actually) contacts melted glass on the surface along. That is why, first melted glass volume will be increased due to that deformation in between moulds. Then, is it possible to add it to melted glass volume (due to change in deformation) in any ANSYS tool? Moreover, obtained new melted glass volume will be solidify. I need to make a(or lots of) solidifed glass comparison in between real and ideal conditons.(i think the last two sentences are valid for FLUENT.) Kind Regards, |
