Hi,

When I try to export cgns file format from (in acoustic mode), the paralel processing result and serial result differs from each other.

CGNS files which of them are exported from PARALEL processing in fluent cant be read in softwares. But serial results are working.

Is there any idea?

Thanks

The parallel and serial results will be different. In parallel, it will export data from each partition separately.

I recommend to switch to serial mode and then export data.

Otherwise, you will have to parse through the data file and merge the data back together again. You just need to realize that Fluent is exporting the data in blocks (each node exports it's own data and writes/appends it to the data file separately). How easy it is to implement this fix depends on what tool you're actually using to read the data files.
emreg and aerosjc like this.

I am using Fluent v17 and exporting data to Virtual.LAB . They have been overcome about using paralel processing while exporting, however there is still another problem. It doesnt allow the whole cgns data. It limits approx. 60.000 faces, therefore CGNS loader of Virtual Lab comes with an error of "size exceeds that for a 32 bit integer ..."

do you have any idea?

thanks

CGNS data files exported from parallel fluent contain values of zero. All fluid variables behave like this. Did you ever encounter this problem?

Hiya, I am encountering the same issue when I export the node data using parallel solvers. Do you happen to solve this problem (I know it's been a long time since your last post)? Many thanks in advance!
