Hellow everyone,
I've used the dynamic mesh adaption recently to do a numerical calculaton. The case file would change every 10 time steps as the meshes have been adapted and the saved data file is specific to its corresponding case file. Now I want to do the data analysis which demands all the data files corresponded to the original unadapted meshes. So here is a question. How can I put the data of adapted meshes on the original unadapted meshes? In other words, I need to use the original unadapted case file to open all the data files. Could you plese provide some convenient way to conduct this conversion? Thank you very much. Wish you happy.

Yes but why!? I really don't get why you would want to but you would have to interpolate the data onto the the unadapted mesh. Use the interpolate feature. Open the data on the adapted mesh, write an interpolate file and then read that into the unadapted mesh. You would have to do this manually for every dataset (but you can script it).

Thank you for your answer! It's really helpful. I haven't found such useful function-interpolate before. I'm afraid I would use a script to deal with such abundant data files. The reason I do this is that I want to make the POD analysis for these data which needs the data matrix to be defined. If the meshes are changed the data matrix would also vary so that it's hard to do the POD analysis. Thank you again for your kind help.
