Hello all Fluent fellows, I have two questions
Firstly,
I want to make a periodic boundary condition for wind turbine. i'm working with sliding mesh model (SMM) so i have two regions: stationary region and rotating region including the rotor. i'm facing a problem with interfaces between the two regions. I'm asking which boundary condition which i gave to them. I usually link them only without any condition like (periodic repeats, coupled..etc.) when dealing with 360 deg. full cylinderical domain. Is this ture and valid in case of 120 deg. periodicity?

Secondly,
I'm asking if it is a must to make the two periodic faces have the same number of elements and the same shape. If this is a must, how carcangiu make it in his thesis?.
the attached figures illustrate two periodic faces with different shape.
I wish any one can help me, please

Hi Islam,
May I please know how you dealt with the problem of sliding mesh for a 120 deg domain? Is Periodic repeats condition sufficient with the periodic boundary condition or some extra tweaks are required?

Thanks Shubham
