Contour of wall shear stress (average in the flow time)

Hi!
I'm new here. I'm doing the simulation of the flow around a pier in a open channel. It was easy to obtain the contour of the instant wall shear stress but now my aim is obtain the contour of the shear stress average in the flow time (aprox. 20 s).

This is a pic of the contour for the time t=16.45 s.

It is possible to obtain the average in the flow time? How?

Yes. You can find it under residual menu.

May I ask how did you calculate contours of instantaneous shear stress on the wall? Are you using Fluent? Did you write a UDF to do that or you just used user interface?

Hi Sama!

It's very easy calculate the contours of instantaneous shear stress on the wall. I'm using Fluent. You must folow the steps: http://i45.tinypic.com/2ymw0pi.jpg

Graphics and animations > Contours > Wall shear stress
