Hi all,
I'm running an LES case with dual-time-iterate command. The simulation was running fine with RANS but once I switch to LES, FLUENT reports this error: Update_Time_Level: invalid data I really do not know what it means and what is wrong because all other setup is the same. If anyone has any idea, please kindly give me some suggestions. Thank you. Jenny |

Hi, did you find the reason for this error?
I would appreciate if you share it here. Cheers, Negin |

Nothing is wrong on your side.
Use "/solve/iterate 1" and then "/solve/dual-time-iterate 100 20" They say this is some kind of strange error that comes when you use it in command line mode (with -g option) Source:http://stone-circle.blogspot.in/2010...fluent-in.html |

First thing you need to do type /solve/iterate 1 (or /solve/iterate 10 if you want) and see what happens. If there is already a prevailing problem, then you'll get another possibly different error.
Do not click the calculate button if this already does not work because clicking the calculate button will make the solution step forward in time. |

It is an old post, but, here is the solution.
" When restarting a transient simulation, the error “Update_Time_Level: invalid data” occurs. Solution: In the journal file use: /solve/iterate 1 /solve/dual-time-iterate 100 20 They say this is some kind of strange error that comes when you use it in command line mode (with -g option)" I got it from the page: http://www.cfdresearch.com/ansys-fluent-solutions/ |
